Small talk 🙂
June is the beginning of the rainy season, which ends mid July. We call this season as “梅雨(Tsu-Yu: 梅=Plums, 雨=Rain)” and be frustrated by sticky weather.
But personally, I don’t hate June very much because my mom pickles plums to make “梅干し(Ume-Boshi: pickled plums)” and I love it.
Plums are harvested in June, and this is the reason why we call June “Plums Rain.”
